From May 27th to 30th, 2024, the 4th International Conference on Small Island Developing States (SIDS4) is underway in Antigua and Barbuda, under the theme 'Charting the Course to Resilient Prosperity'.
On the sidelines of this event, Dr. Alfredo da Trindade, Director of the Agency for Trade and Investment Promotion of São Tomé and Príncipe (APCI), spoke at a side event, invited by the International Trade Centre (ITC), under the theme 'The Importance of Data in Promoting Trade, Investment, Climate Resilience, and SME Competitiveness Policies'.
It is worth noting that SIDS4, held from May 27th to 30th, 2024, brings together over 3,000 delegates to develop and support the plan known as the 'Antigua and Barbuda Agenda for SIDS (ABAS)', which will guide small island developing states towards resilient prosperity in partnership with the international community. The conference aims to boost support for the implementation of ABAS to bring all SIDS closer to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
